PROFI-TEC Profile system

Powerful and problem-free laying!

Elegant design, simple laying, high traction, problem-free disassembly, and high resilience – these are the strengths of the Prinz PROFI-TEC Clip profile system. Through the serrated arch joint bar that catches in the clamp canal of the base profile like a bullet joint, the profile automatically adjusts to the height and inclination of the flooring and seals it. Nevertheless, the strong connection can be easily separated if needed. The material properties of the base profile made of heavy duty plastic guarantee custom-fit traction, also for repeated disassembly. Here the PROFI-TEC System is a real muscle man, because it can even resist up to 1.5 tons – also without moving a millimeter from its position. The perfect optical characteristics without screw holes is convincing. According to taste in modern anodized tones or discretely in natural wood tones. PROFI-TEC Profiles always draw attention.

Installation

Quick method for perfect installation

(1) Gluing of base section

It is best if you glue the base section onto the subsurface. We recommend a poly-urethane adhesive on perfect screed or wood, or an epoxy resin on poor screed and friable expansion joints.

(2) Align the base section

Apply the adhesive and align the base section correctly. (Ieave an expansion joint), then remove any excess. Allow the adhesive to dry completely before fixing the upper section of the trim.

(3) Screwing of base section

Align the base section on the sub-surface and mark the drill holes through the small holes (Ieave an expansion joint). Position the two outer holes as close to the ends as possible, but within 4 cm from the edge. Push dowels completely into the drill holes. Use pan head screws.

(4) Engaging profile

Press the upper section into the base section until it engages slightly. The flexible web acts like a ball-and-socket-joint in the clamping channel. The section adapts easily to the height and inclination of the floor covering.

(5) Fixing of top section

Knock the upper section into the lower using a hammer and a block of wood to spread the blow. The section engages until it sits tight on both sides.

(6) Dismantling

Push a spatula under the section and lever up the upper section over a legth of 20 cm. Carefully pull off the section. After the maintenance or other work has been completed, the up
