PS 400 Profile system – Laying instruction video

The innovative screw profile system

Step 1: Mounting the base section
First screw the base section onto the subsurface and lay out the the impact sound insulation and the flooring. Warning: When the room has an underfloor heating, the base section must be glued using a two-package system or a glue with especially high adhesiveness.

Step 2: Lay on the top section
The guiding web of the top section is taken up by the swivel channel of the base section. The top section automatically adapts to the floor covering in height and inclination.

Step 3: Select the drilling screws
The correct length of the screw can be easily determined by putting the screw into the screw hole of the top section. The length is correct, if the screw projects about 4 to 8 mm.The included drilling screws are fabricated according to DIN 7505 and have a Philips PH-1 head.Using the correct bit is crucial to prevent the drilling screw from wobbling while mounting the top section.

Step 4: Fixing the top section
To fix the top section, please use a cordless screwdriver with a bit PH-1. The torque should be adjusted to a low to medium level, depending on your machine. If possible, switch to a high speed level.Under slight pressure the drilling screws drive a thread into the screw base of the base section. Please note: Since the drilling screws develop high forces the torque must not be too high to prevent the screw from deforming the top section. If you are not sure which torque to use, start with a very low torque and increase it gradually.

Dismounting:
The screws can be unscrewed and screwed in again.
