PS 400 PEP – Laying instruction 415

(1) PS 400 PEP elevation block

When elevation blocks are used all PS 400 PEP profiles are applicable for floor covering thicknesses up to 18 mm.
The distance block comes with a round hole to screw the block onto the base section. The top section is anchored to the base section through the oval slots of the elevation block.

(2) Fixing the elevation blocks

Place the elevation blocks onto the base section. The oval hole needs to be adjusted to the screw holes of the top section. Screw the elevation blocks through the round screw holes onto the base section. Use the short drilling screws (9 mm), which are included with the profile (!).

(3) Lay on top section

The guiding webs of the top section overlap the elevation blocks on the base section. The top section automatically adapts to the floor covering in height and inclination.

(4) Select drilling screws, fixing of top section

The correct length of the screw can be easily determined by putting the screw into the screw hole of the top section. The length is correct, if the screw projects 4 - 7 mm. The top section is anchored to the base section through the oval slots of the elevation block.
For fixing the top section, please use an accumulator screwdriver with bit PH-1 (drilling screw DIN 7505/P with Philips PH-1 head). Under slight pressure only and setting an average torque on the accumulator screwdriver, the drilling screws drive a thread into the screw base of the base section.
Dismounting:
The screw can be unscrewed and screwed in again without any problem.
